As you walk into the 19 x 33 living room you’ll notice the fireplace, one of five, with a mantle piece of intricate carvings, reputedly from a tidewater plantation in Colonial Virginia 4 centuries ago. The large medallions around the cornice of the room are made of wood and have the original Williamsburg blue paint that the original plans called for. All the windows and doorways have fabulous wood work and cornices. As in the lobby, the living room, dining room, and library all have quarter sawn oak flooring with pegs. The lobby and dining room have just been refinished and are a delight to the eye.
